Chicago Riverwalk

Chicago Riverwalk is awesome!  We loved walking here both day and night.  Very relaxing!!  Fortunately, this landmark pathway/walkway passes right by our hotel.  There are many spots to sit, people watch, and check out the many sights & sounds.  There are also many areas where you can connect back to the streets of downtown Chicago.

Our only regret is that we were unable to traverse the entire Chicago Riverwalk during our stay.  Yet another reason to return to Chicago so we may complete the journey!

This place is so romantic at night and probably cause it started to lightly snow too!

Beautiful city lights and its cool how you get to walk right next to the water. They have stairs and seating so you can enjoy the scenery.

This is a beautiful addition to the city which allows pedestrians a view of the city from another perspective. This Riverwalk extension begins at
La Salle street and continues east bound on the south side of the river until you arrive at Lake Michigan.

The city extended an artificial walkway around the bridges to create the walkway without having to punch a hole in the bridge to walk under the bridge. Great solution to a daunting problem.

There is beautiful landscaping all along the Riverwalk with benches and seating scattered along the route. Also there are several Bars along the Riverwalk and Restaurants , Ice Cream Stands and Excursion Boats etc.  It is a lovely place to just walk and enjoy the city atmosphere and architecture.

Beware the biking enthusiast and the runner/jogger vying for equal space
on the Riverwalk. But the Riverwalk beckons … It says, come , come walk with me, come look at me, come touch me, spend time with me, relax, and enjoy the River View on Chicago’s Riverwalk.
